Digestive disorders

When should I see my veterinarian?

If your dog seems tired, if it has fever(?), refuses to eat, vomits, or has a swollen or painful stomach, it is better to consult your veterinarian. This is also the case if your dog has been constipated for several days. Your veterinarian will examine your companion and probably propose examinations, such as x-ray(?) scans and/ or an abdominal echography. He or she will advise you as to appropriate diet and discuss the role of fibres, notably psyllium.

That you ask yourself about your companion

What are the causes of constipation?

How should I manage constipation and avoid it returning?
