Digestive disorders

My dog no longer relieves itself

Constipation is defined by the decrease in the frequency of stool emission. They are often hard and dry. It is important to monitor your dog's stool daily. Often, when constipated, your dog will try to defecate, go in its litter, without success. If not tended to, constipation(?) can worsen and the stools might form what is known as a faecal impaction. This consists of an agglomerate of very hard and dry faecal material that cannot be expelled without a surgical intervention.
